He was not unhappy with his family. His father was a warm, industrious man, who enjoyed his work and loved the nap he was in the habit of taking after he got home. It wasn't that Jeremy's dad was a workaholic so much as that he truly loved his work. Jeremy loved his dad and could feel that his dad felt the same way about him.
