In the living room Jeremy's father slept, outlined in the glow of the television set. In the morning he'd wake up and go to work, never realizing that Jeremy wasn't around. Jeremy felt a pang of guilt. His father would be all alone and was so crushed already that he wouldn't notice. With a sigh Jeremy opened the door and left his home behind.
