It wasn't that he wasn't happy with the people he lived with. His father, a kind and hard working man, was never mean or cruel to Jeremy or his mom. Father provided for the family, not out of tradition, but because he loved working, just as much as he loved taking an hour or two nap on his favorite chair in the evening. Jeremy loved his dad greatly.
