Back To Bruno

-------------------------

2/2/2005 - I'm burning the candle at both ends here, folks. And it stems from this and that. Sorry been so vague lately. My life is complex right now. But I still wanted to post what i managed to get done tonight.

Also kinda' of note, but not really. I will be going up to the Seattle Comic-Con this weekend, but only as a visitor, and maybe only Sunday, and I'm not sure where or how I'd be found. But if your there and see me, feel free to say hello.

2/4/2005 - So, It all caught up to me. And Thursday i just couldn't do it. Exhausted and wiped out, I didn't even try. So, no Bruno today. At least I had these two sketches I did about a week ago which I kinda like of my friend Mary, so I can post them. Something to give you.

I'm taking Friday off as a sick day from work. Taking the weekend to bumble around Seattle, so hopefully I'll be relaxed and ready to go on Monday.

What else. Oh, okay, so in
Comic Book, The Movie, well, I'm in it. In the bonus features, in the outtakes, in the "robots vs. zombies" section, well, I'm there. It's several minutes long, and I don't appear until the end, but I am happy, I was silly and foolish in the spirit of the all, and I'm glad I recognized that it was this other guy's gig, and so i didn't try to pimp my own stuff. Good chris, biscuit. Arf!

-------------------------

2/11/2005 - Well, it's midnight yet again, and Bruno is only about half done. Sorry.

If it's any consolation, the main reason I've been falling behind lately is because I've been busy really enjoying life. A feeling I don't experience all that often, and so it feels super-duper good (albeit tired, and with costs: work, art, etc).

I'll try to catch up this weekend (however many strips I'm behind now), but i tell you now, i promise nothing. I'm too tired right now to make any promise of any sort.

2/17/2005 - Good lord, i am not batting a thousand lately.

Short story, I got the flu, started on Saturday, and it's kept up. I've missed the last two days of work, lying about in a general usueless state. Somehow I managed to keep Bruno up since then, but not today. Instead, enjoy a picture of a bus.

And dream of travels, to places that remind you of spring, of love, of desire, of happiness. And you may also dream that you dont have to take the bus to get there.

-------------------------

2/18/2005 - Don't even have enough energy to try to find something to post. Flu still whooping my butt. Have missed now three days of work at my day-job, two Brunos, and one Dee. My sincerist apologies.

Oh, and those who guessed, you guessed correctly. Yesterday's bus was indeed the "Rosa Parks" bus. I recently completed illustrating a freelance story about Rosa's story.

-------------------------

2/21/2005 - So, I'm feeling somewhat human again. The flu returned the majority of my brain functions to me friday evening, and though my body still feels pretty beat-up, I'm functional again. Relatively.

In doing some looking through the stock of bruno, i have officially come to terms with the fact that somehow i have lost about 250 copies of Bruno book#8. If you know their whereabouts, please, I'm at a total loss. It's not something one can simply missplace behind the toaster over, and our one-bedroom simply isn't that big. I am perplexed, sad, and utterly utterly bewildered by this situation.

I did receive the proofs for bruno #9 and #3 from the printer on Monday, and finally looked at them Saturday (again, brain had returned) am ready to send them back, give or take some funding issues which should resolve by wednesday.

2/22/2005 - Umm... a bit of a curiosity piece, a Quicktime "tribute of sorts to Muppet creator Jim Henson"

2/25/05 - It's my birthday today, and I'm turning 32. A fine ripe year. Though I don't live near family and my friends are scattered across the globe, I have planned a fun weekend with friends here, and am looking forward to it.

2/28/05 - Thank you all for the kind and sweet Birthday emails. I did have a good weekend with friends: some eating, some chatting, some snuggling, all goodness.
