Great little story; short but elegant. May your burdens never be so great that they ever stop you moving; and may you always find a sympathetic (not empathetic!) ear to help lighten the load.

This was great! I loved watching the sack shrink with the purring. Very relatable.
If he noticed that the sack was shrinking, why didn’t he stick around for more purrs?
I liked this comic.

I’ve loved your art and meandering thoughtfulness over the years. This short is another fine example. Cheers!

Very nice, Chris! You tell good stories. You tell tell stories good… er, well. They are reliably entertaining and thought-inducing. I appreciate the stories by way of appreciating you. I often lose tack of my sack while reading. Thanks.

What a charming little story.

What a fascinating, unexpectedly manifold but subtle story! It only pretends to be an allegory, and doesn’t mind being taken for one. A decided accomplishment in storytelling. My hat’s off to you, Christopher.
Many questions follow the reading, but they’re not yours to answer. They’re the story’s. Or the cat’s. Or the welcoming friend’s. Or the mysterious protagonist. Exquisite execution of a tale that will grow on its readers, like questions about the just-seen sunrise. This is the first time I have encountered what strikes me as a thixotropic koan. Amazing. And inspiring.

Okay, that was fun! Maybe you could make another one soon?
Gorgeous work, and it evoked some very familiar feelings for me. Thankfully, my bag usually fits in a pocket these days. *hugs*
I wish I had your imagination.
