fwiw, Google Translate has a “live translate” feature that’s pretty good. You indicate two languages, then set the phone down face-up between you and you both speak. It live-translates whatever it hears in one language into the other language. There’s a bit of a pause so conversations have to go at a measured pace (you talk, pause, they talk, pause, etc…). It might help.
Ha! I know. Except I’m not of the % of people where my phone will only do voice-to-text (including with the apple and Google translating apps) for a few seconds and then turn off. VERY frustrated, but also glad it’s making me push forward HARD to understand what”s going on.
Embarazado Not to be confused with ponerse rojo or several other words and phrases that mean embarrassed that I can’t recall.
