@Tudza, I usually just try to think of the green area around rivers in New Mexico, which are what the word “bosque” means there. But it just wasn’t coming to me.
But I like the Little Red Riding Hood idea. 🙂

Funny, I went the other way. I could remember the word for tree ( arbol ) and forest ( bosque ), but not for wood ( madera ).
For bosque, remember this phrase “Capacita roja camina por el bosque”
