Sometimes there’s logic… and then there’s reality.

Still walking at night, Val said, “So, shall we go to Audri’s apartment?” Lasper said, “But there’s no need. She asked us to check in on her cat, and we were just told that her cat went into space with the aliens in your bodies.” Val said, “Well, that just shows that you don’t understand Audri. The first thing she’s going to ask me when I tell her we heard her cat went into space is if I doublechecked to make sure. And when I tell her that you said there was no need, she’s gonna do nothing but give you annoyed looks from one side of the universe to the other.” Pointing ahead, Lasper declared, “To Audri’s!”

The cat is in a state of uncertainty. She’s both there and not there until they observe her or not. It doesn’t matter that she’s already been observed going to space until they don’t see her or do for themselves.
So certain, are you? 😛
Schrödaudri’s cat.
“Sometimes there’s logic… and then there’s reality.” That’s going on the long list of things that I want to embroider on a sampler someday (but probably won’t).
Cats, existing as they do in paratemporal space, need checking up on simply to verify their most-recent temporal arc is still intact where you left it. Because they can simply teleport away when you’re not watching. Believe it or don’t!
Sounds a lot like my Jack Russel. She can pout and makes darn sure we know it. 🙂
Given the possibility of “but I thought that was your cat?” confusion, probably best to check.
Cue the old chestnut: “does your dog bite?”, “no”, reaches for the dog and almost loses a hand, “that is not my dog.”
If your cat teleports, thus removing its atoms from the universe and re-creating them in a new location… is it the same cat?
depends on what the cat decides.
is it still your cat ?
Aha! The only feline-sensible answer! I’m impressed. You’re not a cat yourself, are you?
