Audri and I are very close, so if she knew I was receiving punishment for her actions, she’d be super scared to ever do anything wrong again.” Contemplating this, Runk said, “you truly think it would make her become meek and well-behaved?” With a glimmer of hope, Val said, “yes! For sure!” Runk smiled and said, “ha! And what fun would that be? Plus, I know you only offer because it kills you to know she’s being tortured. Ao, I’ll give her a few extra strokes because of your request. What do you think of that?” Stunned and lying to not make things worse, Val said, “ha! I had no idea my boss was so funny! To think that would bother me at all.” Smiling and leaving the room, Runk said, “oh good. I’ll get to it then. Especially since it won’t bother you.” Alone and sad, Val returned to scrubbing the floor.
