Audri wrapped herself in a blue blanket to hide her alien appearance and waited in a gazebo in Nick’s yard until he came down and joined her. Audri said, “I hope you haven’t worried too much.” Nick said, “Not at all. I haven’t wanted to smother you. We’re good.” Shocked, Audri said, “‘Not at all’?! But I’ve been gone for ages! And we even had a date which I missed! You were going to come over!” Nick said, “Oh. Yeah. Sorry about that. Anna and I were playing games and I lost track of the time.” Piecing this together, Audri said, “Wait. Hold on. You stood me up?” Nick also pieced that together and replied, “It sounds like you stood me up as well.” Audri said, “I was brain-transported into space that night!” Staring off, lost in memory, Nick said, “Same for me, if you know what I mean. Speaking of which, what are your feelings on polyamory?”
