Lasper said, “Okay, those temporary tooth caps will sound-cancel your voice and replace it with english.” Audri said, “Are you saying that Val and I aren’t speaking english right now?” Lasper said, “You’re speaking Tithoronian. When the consciousness transfer happened, it must have left the wernicke area of your cerebral cortex intact.” Looking distract, Audri said, “The words I’m saying aren’t the words I think I’m saying? As an occasional writer of poetry, I find that very distressing.” Val said, “I don’t even want to think about what mental gymnastics my brain would be doing if I attempted a crossword.”
