Picknar handed Rodrigo a pair of binoculars and said, "Want a closer look?" He looked through them, and could zoom in incredibly close, seeing the pupils of the eyes of the grey titer. Then they all took off on their hover bikes, and he continued to look through them, at alien butterflies and lizards. Knox said, "Wre those binoculars really that fascinating?" Rodrigo grinned and said, "If an adult had tried to grab these from my five-year-old self, they'd be an amputee. I had strong teeth."

Even as an adult, binoculars seem kind of magical. I imagine space ones would be SO much stronger and prolly with an image stabilizer. 🙂

And I just got the comp copies for “The Nefarious Nights of Willowweep Manor” which look great! Due out TUESDAY August 12, written by Shaenon Garrity and pubbed by Simon & Schuster/Margaret K. McElderry Books, so is available at any bookstore online or brick-n’-mortar!
