   That might not be a city. It could be a hive, mimicked from structures the builders saw elsewhere. The gliders could be this world’s equivalent of bees or wasps.

   I find it amusing how Pewter takes both Blake’s and the pudu’s roles and meshes them so nicely.

   “be worse than being up there” not “worse then”.

   Recommend dumping dialog into MS Word or LibreOffice with the grammar checker enabled before inking it. It’ll catch things like then/than and there/their/they’re errors.
