I did take Thursday (mostly) off. This strip was delayed, but I’m feeling better.

Loneliness and seasonal affective disorder can both drag down your immune system. Extra vitamin C and D can help, as can mild exercise (a good, brisk walk did it for me). Neglecting exercise in the bad weather is common but not good for you. If anything you need exercise even more on gloomy days. Get up from the drawing board and take a walk or exercise if the weather is too foul to go out. We don’t want our favorite artiste to come down sick.

Dang, boy. Take better care of yourself. Did you know you dated this diary entry 2018_04_19, when I think you meant 2019_01_04?

I used to do the same thing at three other jobs and that’s why I’m on sixteen prescription drugs now. Take it from me, the elasticity of youth can go the same way the waistline on your briefs can — one day you’ll gird your loins and find they have no strength left to them.

You don’t want to end up like Hemingway, saying that the stock of his health was the most valuable thing he had and he had to marshal it to finish his work. That was two weeks before he learned his tertiary syphilis had returned and he got out the double-barrelled twelve-gauge. Not a corner you want to be in.

Use a sun lamp to give you more of that yellow light to affect your pineal gland. And of course take more frequent breaks. Or a light panel if you have one.

You are a super hard worker which is commendable, just don’t work yourself into the ground. You have the rest of your life to do that…
