It came out pretty. And Aitana goes home to a world without color. Except for the tapas. FlySwatter August 3, 2020 at 7:50 am 1 year ago Thank you for sharing the mural Chris. Louise August 3, 2020 at 9:12 am 1 year ago The mural is wonderful! And I love how you captured Emily’s emotions on her burned face. Could confuse his eventual therapist in that they will be communicating with multiple beings… DSL August 3, 2020 at 3:47 pm 1 year ago Perhaps the symbiont could be Tesfay’s therapist? Pete Rogan August 3, 2020 at 4:55 pm 1 year ago Your murals are very compelling, Chris. I want to go into them and nap under your honey locust in its endless summer. Their pull is remarkable. As is Emily’s push. She really can’t let herself go, can she? Even when she wants to. Something tells me this situation will stay until she confronts her intransigence head-on. Not sure what could force that — and I’m not at all sure that forcing it out would cause it to stay. A great deal of Emily’s competence and coping comes from her ability to bury her humanity. Unearthing it will be tectonic. That is, geologically slowly. Demarquis August 3, 2020 at 7:59 pm 1 year ago Let’ s not kid ourselves. The chances of any of them making it back to Earth without an intervening epic adventure first are really just about zero. Nomi August 4, 2020 at 10:43 am 1 year ago I hope so! Night-Gaunt49 August 3, 2020 at 8:49 pm 1 year ago The murals are so properly dimensional. A joyous set of paintings. This feels like a fake out not quite the end of this story yet. Even though it is real it won’t end so quickly. Pete Rogan August 4, 2020 at 9:13 pm 1 year ago It’s an interstitial. Things are still moving, we’re just at a fulcrum point that we will see referenced later for things said and done or not said or done that will be momentous later. Another rule of Story.
