They have a similar way of thinking, though the symbiont’s goals are different. Mic February 8, 2021 at 4:46 am 1 year ago That was my thinking. At the very least, they’d be good friends. M.A. February 8, 2021 at 4:12 pm 1 year ago or terrible enemies… Rikard February 8, 2021 at 2:15 am 1 year ago That is a very good point; what kind of escape pod doesn’t have (at least!) one tracking system? I mean how are supposed to find it? Fine-comb the desert? Wildflowrr February 8, 2021 at 4:54 am 1 year ago ROFL… The more Spaceballs references the better. No star wars. No star trek or Dr who. But I am up for the Obscure… “Why does this ship have chompy things in the engine bay!” lil sis February 8, 2021 at 8:21 am 1 year ago This episode was badly written!! Coyoty February 8, 2021 at 3:17 am 1 year ago Much more of this and I don’t think she’ll be so sympathetic toward them. Pete Rogan February 8, 2021 at 3:57 pm 1 year ago And so begins the slide into complete irresponsibility and unrestricted and ill-directed mayhem. Thanks, symbiont, you soul-sucking wretch. I hope you get athlete’s foot all over and can’t scratch yourself enough. Taking an escape pod is one thing. But where are Tesfay, his parasite and Goonth going to run? ….no. No, Chris, you wouldn’t! I’m back to cringing behind my chair now. And trying not to think of the chase in “A Funny Thing Happened On The Way to the Forum.” Ohhh, Lawsy! Muzhik February 8, 2021 at 9:15 pm 1 year ago The thing about the chase scene in that movie, that has stayed with me all these years, was after Buster Keaton’s character spent so much time trying to get a cup of mare’s sweat (long story), the general came by and just grabbed the cup and downed it without a second thought. Pete Rogan February 9, 2021 at 3:47 pm 1 year ago It was Hysterium (played by Jack Gilford) who sought the mare’s sweat, which was downed by a slave-herder who promptly keeled over, not Miles Gloriosus (Leon Greene). What I remember about the film is the marvelous cameo by Jon Pertwee of Dr. Who fame playing Crassus, newly returned from ten years in Crete — which Pseudolus (Zero Mostel) had told the slave-seller Marcus Lycus (Phil Silvers) was crawling with plague. Crassus, astonished, tells him Crete is fine — it’s the healthiest place in the world. Whereupon Lycus fumes, “He lied to me!” “Who?” “The lyingest, cheatingest, sloppiest slave in all Rome!” “Oh!” says Crassus. “Pseudolus.” This joke is from the original text of Terence that was the basis for the musical and movie. And it is verbatim. Which makes this joke two thousand years old. And still funny. Night-Gaunt February 8, 2021 at 10:46 pm 1 year ago Zapping her isn’t going to help them unless they can find and disable the trackers. And I don’t trust the symbiont’s judgement.
