Honestly, I read the old earlier strip as Emily pretending her ship had been disabled, and using that bluff to suddenly spring into action and take out his ship when he wasn’t expecting it, but maybe that wasn’t the intent either!
What would be *real* neat would be if he got picked-up by Wezzle–like Diller who was picked-up by Alkyine.
