Val found Audri crying in the lounge. She approached and said, “Hey, friend.” Audri replied, “Sniff. Did you get Purrloin?” Getting up onto the seat next to Audri, Val said, “No, we were told she went into space.” Audri asked, “Did you double-check to make sure?” Val reassured her, “Yes, and I ate all of your strawberry ice cream.” Waving off the concern, Audri said, “Meh. That’s okay.” Val said, “It looks like things didn’t go well with Nick.” Crossing her arms in annoyance, Audri said, “He’s already started seeing someone new. You were right. Love is dead. Unless the sultry looks you’ve been giving Lasper mean that you believe in it again, of course.” In an ‘over it’ manner, Val held up a hand and said, “If love weren’t dead yet, Audri, I would murder it in its sleep.”
