Audri’s bell ringing was heard from the escape pod, hurtling away from Lasper’s ship. Valerie asked, “As inspiring as ‘leaving on a jet plane’ is Audri, can we nix the bells for now?” Putting the bells away, Audri said, “Are you feeling okay, val?” Valerie said, “Not really. Kinda dizzy and nauseous. I feel only half here, like I’m having an out-of-body experience.” Audri commented, “Your consciousness is in a space-yak. You certainly are having an out-of-body experience.” Reframing it, annoyed but patient, Valerie said, “Okay, then it feels like I’m having an out-of-someone-else’s-body experience.”
