Hey. It’s my birthday (the 25th). And I’m in a small town in Uruguay. Kinda strange. I might try to find a black forest cake.

Lasper said to Rodrigo, “So, you don’t like our plan.” Rodrigo said, “To be fair, I don’t like most plans.” Lasper said, “Well, we need someone to wait outside and make sure no one comes in behind us. So let’s have that be you.” Smiling, Rodrigo said, “Whatever you say, boss.” A little while later, Lasper entered the code into a security door and it opened. Lasper said, “Okay, Rodrigo, you stay out here and keep watch.” Knox gave Rodrigo a peck and said, “See you in a jiff.” As they passed through the closing doors, Knox asked, “Hey Lasper, how’d you get so confident and good at leading?” Lasper said, “Easy. I simply learned to mask my true emotions.” Knox said, “oh,” as the door slammed shut.

Took me a second to figure out that you were saying that your birthday was February 25th, not that it was your 25th birthday. I was all, “Wait, that can’t be right. I’ve been reading your comics longer than that…”
Ha! Nope! I’d figure out how old I was, but my abacus doesn’t count that high. 🙂
Happy birthday!
Thank youuuuuu!
Happy birthday, how long are you leaving Rodrigo in for?
Thanks! And Rodrigo is outside? The others went in? Or am I not understanding the question? Anyhow, he’s outside and will wait until they return. 🙂
On Earth we use Botox.
Lasper must be a great poker player.
Lasper could certainly win in poker against the Veefa (tune in next time for…). 🙂
Happy Uruguayan Birthday, hope you’re not masking your true emotions about it.
Thank you! And I’m sure I’ll let a trickle of true emotion through the tap. 🙂
Hippo birdy 2 U.
Heh. We totally had that on a mug when I was a kid. 🙂 (and thank you!)
My coffee mug says: This Coffee Tastes Like Asteroid! 🙂
I love that you still have that! 🙂
This is your Birthday Song!
It isn’t very long!
Hey! 😉
Not sure what exactly Rodrigo is supposed to do if someone does try to go into that door.
Distract them with long-winded stories?
@TB, good point. There actually was a line saying “okay, you have an approxiscan to notify us if anyone comes.” but it felt like unnecessary information (especially considering it’s Rodrigo, who won’t be doing anything). 🙂
¡Feliz cumpleaños, y felices aventuras in Uruguay! ¿Estás in Colónia, quizás?
¡Gracias! Estuve, pero ahora estoy en Carmelo (siguiente La Paloma, Montevideo de nuevo, entonces Peru). 🙂
Happy Birthday, Christopher! I’m going to spare you the links I have to some sixteen variants of the Viking Birthday Song, which don’t bear repeating, least of all here. Good luck finding a Black Forest cake; you might find one in Argentina, I believe. Bit far to drive, though.
Being emotionally impassive helps with the impression of leadership if you’re not a loudmouth who always gets the first word in, the usual marker of the boss. Amazing how much lack of an emotional response gets mistaken for knowing what you and the team are doing. If you can pull that off, that is.
Happy Birthday Christopher, I’m also one that thought “25 years old?? How can that be???”.
All the best on your South American Journey.
Que Dios te acompanhe.
Thank you! and, yeah. It was not confusion on purpose, but I’ll take it. 😉
¡Dio es mi copiloto! (no confio en se manejo)
Happy Birthday!
Thank yoouuuuuu! 🙂
“What I am masking now is my desire to take a break from Rodrigo.”
