We are a bit cooped up and it is a dull room.” Thoos yelled at him, “Will you stop nattering on like someone who doesn’t care about tragedy?” Rodrigo said, “Tut. I find tragedy to be one of the most entertaining narrative forms.” Upset now, Thoos said, “There’s a social contract, Rodrigo. And it’s been broken. Parents treat their children with utter annoyance and distain! And then children rebel against them! And that cycle of family conflict continues until everyone becomes bored with it. That’s! How! Things! Go!” Rodrigo said, “I see. And so what you’re suggesting is that imprisoning and torturing is…” Thoos yelled, “Not in the social contract!”
