It’s so imbedded in our culture, isn’t it? That when someone is unconscious you’re “suppose to” slap them gently.

Rodrigo takes off his sunglasses, puts them in the strap of his Speedos, and steps forward in the hot pool to look down at Audri and Val. He says, “come on, we need to help them.” Knox lowers his sunglasses to look, and says, “I suppose you’re right.” They go down, and Rodrigo gently lifts Audri up and out of the water, onto her back on the stones. Knox does the same to Val, and then gently slaps her on the cheek a couple times. Val begins to wake and moans, “nnggggg…” Audri also begins to regain consciousness and says dazedly, “what happened?” Knox replies, “you two fell unconscious, and had begun slipping under the water.” Rodrigo adds, “we pulled you out. Are you okay?” Sitting up, Val replies, “where’d Dr. loomp go?…” And Audri, still on her back and looking up says, “the sky is the wrong color. I’m not sure if that means I’m really okay.” Rodrigo puts his sunglasses back on and says, “well, those are certainly engaging replies.” Knox asks, “which color is the ‘right’ color?”
