   Ok, but how can she help the kid without touching them?

   “Quick kid, grab my feet and I’ll fly you to safety.”

   If that was me in the water, I’d probably be too perplexed by that instruction, even in such a situation.

   Would Julie still be able to fly if she was submerged? Would the water prevent the reaction that allows her to leave the ground?
