06/04/18 – Conspiracy

King’s job would be so much easier if people allowed him to not listen to them.

  1. Coyoty

The boxes on King’s desk moved, and switched order. Their positions in panels 1 to 3 are the reverse of 4 to 6. There must be something conspiratorial about this. Chris denies there’s anything wrong on the Patreon page. I think he’s in on it.

    1. Ha! Oh my goodness. That’s right! This, actually, is the last week of strips I did to “get ahead” for when I was on the road, and so I’d forgotten. I edited this strip so many times, I ended up flipping a few of the panels because the dialogue changed so radically even AFTER I finished drawing it. My mistake! I’ll add it to the list of things to fix! 🙂

  2. Small Pox

“Conspiracy” should probably be changed to “Conspiracy theory”, since the latter is colloquially used to mean “paranoid delusion”, but the word “conspiracy” on its own refers to an actual conspiracy.

  3. Peter Rogan

Terrible, really terrible it is, when you lose track of the dark forces you yourself set in motion and didn’t think or have the heart to stop. Victor Frankenstein’s first mistake: That his creation would be only what he conceived it to be, not a living being with his own wants, needs and desires. And sense of shame.

I can’t help but think how much better King would be now had only Ooloo lived.

    1. Muzhik

@Peter Rogan, you fail to consider the possibilities, as in, maybe King could have turned into the type of king who dedicates all of the galaxie’s resources to creating perfect clone, sort of an “Ooloo Twoloo”, not just a physical but an emotional clone of her. And yet, as King sits in his now-bankrupted GOB, he realizes that Ooloo Twoloo just isn’t quite enough,

      It’s sad, really.

  4. Herandar

Just add King’s arm tentacle to panels 3 & 4 showing him move the boxes without any obvious reason (It notifies the secret society people that they are summoned.)
