That’s okay, we know where you’ve been. (What? You tell us every weekend.)

Bikkie for sure wasn’t implanting a tracking device, because why would they need a tracking device if they know he’ll be in a very safe cell where a pugilistic kangaroo can find him for regular sexy times? It’s not like he’ll have the motivation or opportunity to escape and lead them to any secret locations they want to find.

Bikke has the mentality of a Secret Police Captain. Rough em up but don’t kill them since they don’t say much after death. (Until they find a way to deal with that.) The rambunctious macropod pugilist talks loud and his fists and feet talk louder. He even has a sense of humor. Maybe a genius of his species. He almost looks like a prehistoric version his size and went extinct just 10,000 years ago with the great die off of the megafauna all over the world.

He is a great character. I can’t recall if he has used the single or double foot kick yet. The aliens are having a new experience with him and the other humans.

Macropodidae (macropods, meaning “large foot”). In common use the term is used to describe the largest species from this family, especially those of the genus Macropus: the red kangaroo. Wikipedia

Bikkie’s moral code is rough in practice, but I see it is nuanced and even beneficial. Fair fights require fairness all around, a code of honor intended to be universal and respected.

Kind of like that scene from “Excalibur” where a young squire (not-yet King) Arthur is defied by Uryenes, a local lord, for being not just self-aggrandizing, but not so much as a knight – not someone to who he would ever surrender. Arthur on the spot, in the middle of the battle in a marshy moat, handed Uryenes his sword Excalibur and got on his knees, saying, “You, Uryenes, will make me a knight. Then as knight to knight… I can offer you mercy.”

Would a Secret Police Captain extend such a boon to an enemy? I doubt it very much. Bikkie has within him the nobility we expect of a King. Expect to see more of it. Expect to see more come out of it.
