Tesfay, man? It might be true what you say but the focus of your excuse is YOU not being able to handle screwing it up. Not her, which is what you should focus on.

Maybe I’m missinterpreting or reading to much into it but that’s one excuse I’ve heard enough to choke on it – “I can’t deal with this, I can’t handle failing so I won’t even try to do my best, or anything. I’ll just wallow in misery wishing for a better day”. And responding to every offer of aid with: “That’s easy for you to say! You don’t understand what I’m going through!” No, dear, you are wrong. That’s a defense mechanism so as ypou don’t have to face up to you being the greatest obstacle to your own healing and improvement.

By not striving and struggling to not fail, you have given up already. Understandable given his mental health issues, but that attitude just aggravates them – to combat PTSD and related depression doing things, even difficult things [emotionally so as well as physically challenging] is key. One has to learn to fail/succeed again.

Well, mister cartoonist, no one can claim that you’re not an accomplished master in credibly mixing down to earth real life phenomena with fantastic settings, characters and storys. If my psych-rambling above is out of line just scratch it out – it’s my work-history colouring my reaction I think.

Tesfay may be afraid of screwing Her up more “By” doing his best. It’s a fine line.
I’m not a fan of the character, but I am familiar with some of the nuances of his point.
Methinks that your judge-mentality is too narrow and a bit flippant.

You know people have some growing to do when the Coyote is the responsible one…or any other canid for that matter come to think of it. Sorry, less coherent than usual. Pollen, weather, bones of a once advetursome fool. But yeah…Coyotes are pretty dependable if they take on a responsibility, poor decision making skills about going after dinner yes.

Chiphu is a selfish little bastard. He’s just been given a huge gift and all he can think of is how he’s gonna play with it. No gratitude! If Itana hadn’t lost her parents he’d still be miserable, huddled in an alley, in Spain!

And as for Tesfay, he still is miserable, huddled in an alley, in Spain, in his mind. How many more lifelines is he going to ignore before people quit throwing them?

Oho! Ruddock speaks the truth that none but he can see! And he’s right; Aitana would be the hub for whatever wheel Tesfay and Chiphu manage to throw together.

You can get so fixated on your own problems you forget others have them, too. Or that helping them helps you, too. A good point to ponder today.
