If only ALL staffing decisions were that easy.

Aitana seemed to do fine as captain while Emily was incapacitated, but that’s not going to happen again, so I nominate her as Number One. Ruddock should be Chief of Security. Tesfay can be the guy who tells the medibot what to do.

Thought: piloting in the world of Spacetrawler seems to be highly automated (as spaceship-piloting by rights would have to be in any world focusing on the fiction and not the science). Hence, it probably relies more on instincts and intuition not to mention some experience as much as if not more than technincal knowledge/skill. Call it “Gurf’s law” or something.

    I.e: let Ruddock drive.

Having no more people than positions does simplify the staffing problem, to start. It’s when everybody has to do something with the guns, the engines, the shields that massive information deficits and open incompetence burst forth. And then we find out how well the CAPTAIN can deal with that.

Big hint: Most of the time, exit interviews aren’t necessary. Since they can’t be populated.

Can’t wait to see what the Calama Void draws out of them all. My money’s on Ruddock coming out best, if not actually on top.
