12/25/23 – Happy Holidays!

|

In a silly little holiday comic, Nogg sits atop a big gray Santa-sack, and wears a Santa hat. Krep stands beside him, a club held in one of his face tentacles, and Gurf stands behind them both. Nogg says, "I'm afraid the cartoonist you all know and love is such a workaholic that he tried insisting on not taking even one day off for the holiday. But we gave him a good talking too, and eventually he agreed to take a day of rest." We then hear a groan from the sack that Nogg sits upon, "Gnnnnnnnn," which is obviously Christopher Baldwin, the author, waking up inside the sack. Krep makes short work of that by hitting the sack with his club. Swish! Bonk! And then Nogg says, "yup. He's just resting ever so peacefully." Krep adds, "with the help of an occasional sleeping aid." Gurf smiles and says, "hur! Happy holidays!"

Hope all of you are warm and happy.

“We’ll make him sleep in front of a yule log.”
    “With what?”
    “This log.”
“What am I supposed to do with it?”
“You’ll log him whenever he starts to wake up.”
    “Oh. OK.”

Ha ha! I’m not surprised that an intervention was required. Lucky for you Christopher, you’ve created some friends that will do what is necessary no matter how difficult. Happy Holidays!!

You’re not fooling anyone, you crazy workaholic you. How much work did it take to draw a Christmas comic telling us you aren’t working on Christmas?

It’s OK, you deserve a break from time to time. We’ll wait. Merry Christmas!
