Nothing like a good frivolous debate to get the spirits up!

Knox wasn’t thrilled about how the plans were moving forward, and as he dropped their towels in the back of their car, he pointed his finger accusingly at Rodrigo and said, “I’m not about to give driving lessons.” Rodrigo leaned back against their car and said, “of course not. we’re all too hungry to learn to drive. You take Thoos, and I’ll take Picknar in their car.” Hands on his hips, Knox pointed out, “Rigo. you don’t know how to drive.” Smiling, Rodrigo replied, “although I’m horrible at it and never do it, it doesn’t mean I don’t know how. I learned in England.” Throwing his arms in the air, Knox said in exasperation, “England?! They drive on the wrong side of the road, Rigo.” Rodrigo lifted his left hand and formed an “L” with his fingers and innocently said, “this one is the left, because it forms an “L,” correct?” Knox said, “okay. Okay! I give up.” Smiling, Rodrigo said, “that’s not very sporting. We’ve only just begun this frivolous debate.” Crossing his arms, Knox said, “just tell me straight, are you wanting to hang out with these nutters out of genuine interest, or simply to get a rise out of me?” Crossing his arms in reply, Rodrigo said, “aw. I’d hate to think I had to only pick one.”

I have to ask myself, how would i handle either side of this.
Rodrigo just wants to drive Knox crazy.
I’ve been told that sometimes my uncle would, at the beginning of a long car trip, start a frivolous argument with my aunt so there’d be something to do.
I am beginning to see a concept here:
