Is it bravery, instinct, or is it plumb stupidity? The Titheronian world shall never know.

Ahead of them perched a bird in a nest. A bird bigger than any of them, viscous looking, red glowing eyes, and sitting in a nest. Thoos said, “That’s a Bricknock. They’re vicious things. We’ll have to circle the mansion in the other direction to go around it, even though it’ll add time.” Then Purrloin ran forth and jumps at the Bricknock as the rest of them stared on wide-eyed.

Purrloin to the rescue?
“A bird bigger than any of them, viscous looking”
It doesn’t look all that viscous to me. Though it’s hard to tell how it would have gelled with the group now that Purrloin is stirring it. The human-bodied party will have to go with the flow now.
Hardy har-har 😀
This is why you don’t introduce cats to foreign lands. They’ll wipe out indigenous species.
I think you should add to the alt text that even the Bricknock was looking wide-eyed at Purrloins approach :).
Those eyes, like two all-too-tempting laser toy dots!
Or maybe the cat’s just all, “Biggest…Tweetie Bird…ever!!!!”
Even a small cat can inflict amazing damage. Plenty of big dogs that thought they were tough have FAFO’d the hard and painful way.
I can vouch for that, we once lived near a place that trained guard dogs for private security services, they eventually came and begged us to keep that cat indoors, she had all the dogs scared.
The one guy pointed out that cats have six ends, five of them are pointy. On dogs, it’s only the one. She was apparently taking on two dogs at a time.
Go for it, Purrloin! Live your best life for as long as you can!
Earth, where all the indigenous life is murderously insane.
BLOOD!
I can hear Purrloin’s internal scream of longing now:
WATTLES!!
Dive into those feathers and when you get to meat, go to town!
Heavy Meow-Tal
What have I just seen…
Italian Heavy Metal or just parody? Who knows…
The tune is nice though. 🙂
