05/26/25 – The Bricknock

|

Ahead of them perched a bird in a nest. A bird bigger than any of them, viscous looking, red glowing eyes, and sitting in a nest. Thoos said, "That's a Bricknock. They're vicious things. We'll have to circle the mansion in the other direction to go around it, even though it'll add time." Then Purrloin ran forth and jumps at the Bricknock as the rest of them stared on wide-eyed.

Is it bravery, instinct, or is it plumb stupidity? The Titheronian world shall never know.

“A bird bigger than any of them, viscous looking”

It doesn’t look all that viscous to me. Though it’s hard to tell how it would have gelled with the group now that Purrloin is stirring it. The human-bodied party will have to go with the flow now.

    1. I can vouch for that, we once lived near a place that trained guard dogs for private security services, they eventually came and begged us to keep that cat indoors, she had all the dogs scared.
The one guy pointed out that cats have six ends, five of them are pointy. On dogs, it’s only the one. She was apparently taking on two dogs at a time.
