Reminds me of removing the lid of the Ark of the Covenant in Raiders of the Lost Ark (but only if you’re watching, of course).

Thoos, Picknar, Knox, Rodrigo, and Purrloin entered an elevator, and then exited again in a spaceship bay. Thoos said, “There it is.” Amazed, Picknar said, “Winkledop’s eyes, you said a “race-ship,” but you didn’t say it was Tithoronian skip ship. That’s the most coveted ship on Tithoron.” Thoos said, “And my parents manufacture them. Go me.” As they walked towards the ship, Knox asked, “I’m guessing that enormous panel is the door?” Thoos said, “Yes, but we don’t open it yet. As soon as we do, the whole house will know. But this thing is fast. The moment the door opens, we’ll be lonnng gone.” Knox said, “Reminds me of ‘Burt,’ a dog I had as a kid.” Rodrigo said, “Reminds me of a few romantic ‘situations’ I’ve been caught in.”

So a spaceship that gets speed tickets while parked?
Need an edit feature.
My bet is that the ship isn’t quite configured for bipedal passengers.
I dunno, despite being much shorter than humans most of the stuff in their home seem to be designed more for tall bipeds than for them. The jam storage shelves and even the bed in the bedroom were all at a perfect height for human use. We design chairs so that we can sit down onto them because that makes sense but all of their furniture would require climbing or jumping for them to use. Seems like the galaxy is pretty standardized in ergonomics and they don’t fit the standard even on their own planet.

“Okay, everyone, it’s time to SKIP town!”
::moans::
“It’s my ship, so you can call me the SKIPPER!”
::MOANS::
“English is fun!”
“This isn’t fun!”
“So you want me to SKIP the puns?”
“(If we kill her, who’ll fly the ship?)”
What I want to know is how they all changed positions when they walked through that door.
Oh, elevator. Never mind…
Frith Ra has a point. I’m looking forward to seeing the interior of the skip ship now even more keenly. Just how comfortable for bipeds will it be?
Better too low than too high.
