06/06/25 – They’ll Pay

|

Watching the ship depart, Spizz said, "'Spizzlepop.' they even tortured my pet name from Thoos." Spizz then walked through the house, saying, "A name of love which only belongs on Thoos's tongue. Tthey'll pay for this." Spizz finally reached Heakie and Porpa and said, They got away, damn them. Please. Let me go after them. Hunt them down." Porpa said, "Of course. But only if you agree to one thing." Spizz said, "Yes." Porpa said, "Be nasty about it."

And so the chase begins.

Five bucks says when Thoos is restored, they’re going to decide that it’s just the horrible alien with all the torture-obtained personality actually occupying the body.

Is there any way to introduce Tith who aren’t a steaming pile of dog crap that wouldn’t break the narrative? Because I’m starting to be racist against these fictional yak-things.

I dunno, Christopher seems to have gone out of his way to create entire species that are simply more horrid than a sane Universe would allow, from the once-pitied Eebs to the Beejahs, the Aultons, the Prutes, and the irritating Slinten Pods, to name just a few. Makes me wonder how the G.O.B. manages to survive week to week.

On the other hand, we do have a pacifistic Bollyck, so there’s precedent. Just have to wait and see, I guess.

I was sure I said this already, previous comment has gone missing.

Seems like most of the so called “sapient” species in the galaxy are sapient only because of the chip. More evidence – the kangaroo and the coyote. Many sentient creatures are very smart, but I don’t want them doing my taxes.

King seems to agree, he once mentioned that a seemingly identical species on his planet was fairly dim witted.

Not sure if definition is 100% agreed upon – the one I am using:

    Dogs are sentient.
    Humans are sapient.
