As Audri walked off into the night, Val said to Lasper, “Let her go. Her plan is important to her, even if it is doomed to fail, and we’re simply going to find her back on the ship later, curled up, crying.” Calling back to them, Audri said, “I heard that! Still in hearing range!” With Audri gone, Lasper said, “I don’t like it. Maybe it’s cultural, but in space we have these story vids in a genre called ‘horror.’ And in them, when facing a scary or dodgy situation, the characters split up. And then bad things happen. Always.” Rolling her eyes, Val said, “Nope. No idea what you’re talking about.” Val removed a hidden key under a rock and they entered her house. Passing the kitchen, Val said, “Well, my cupboards have been rummaged through. Let’s check my clothes in my bedroom, surely…” As they enter the bedroom, Jo is in Vals bed, pulling the sheets up over her for modesty. Val said, “Augh!” Jo said, “Who the hell are you?!” Val said, “Oh! Jo! It’s you. Um. We’re wearing costumes.” Jo said, “Well, I can see that. Even if they are kinda stupid looking.” Since they are not ACTUALLY wearing costumes, Lasper took the comment personally and said, “Hey!”
