The comfort and natural flow of old friends is always so beautiful.
Oh, and I made it to Ancud. This is the view from my shared-apartment stay (and there’s a very nice boardwalk from here to there, about a 15 minute walk):

It was a long 36 hours of travel, airports, planes, buses, walking. And I’m to the point that I can speak in Spanish okay, but am still struggling to hear/understand the words when spoken to. But when not drawing comics… I’ll work on it. 🙂

Val and Jo go outside and stand under the stars, Val said, “Okay, Jo. I guess it’s time to leave. Are you going to be okay? “I’ve been so worried about you.” Looking uo at the stars, Jo said, “I am. And I will be. And will always remember you except if i’m too drunk or get alzheimer’s.” Val said, “Sorry this is so idiotic. Turning into an alien and only belonging in space was not on my bucket-list.” Smiling fondly at Val, Jo said, “Leaving may be idiotic but never leaving our home town wasn’t on our bucket-list either.” Val said, “You made being in this crummy town worth it. If I can get back in my body, I’ll return.” Jo said, “I’ve had acid trips like that.” Val asked, “I love you my friend, but why is love so stupid sometimes?” Jo replied, “Have you seen who I’m smitten with? Beats the heck out of me.”

Val’s going on a spacewalkabout to find herself.
You’re in a beautiful part of the world, Christopher. And just in time for spring, too. Hope you enjoy it even more than you thought you would. And take your time with fluency; Spanish can be daunting at speed.
Have a great time in Ancud and good luck with training your ear for Spanish, Christopher.
