It’ll give us some hard work to distract us.” Val said, “Yeah, that went so well on Runk’s ship. This way. We’re in beds 7,209 and 7,210.” Audri said, “Dibs on the one with a window seat.” They stopped at some bunks and Val said, “Looks like this is us.” From the bunk next to their, they heard, “Uhnnnnnnn, where am I?” They went over and saw a Clentitian. Val said, “Oh, hello. You’re aboard the jolly ship Compassion I.” Audri said, “Val thinks it’s a bad thing to be here, but I’m not so sure.” Gripping his head, the Clentitian said, “What? No! No no no no! The Compassion I isn’t a ship, it’s a death sentence.” Audri said to Val, “I guess I’m going to have to concede to you on this one.” Val replied, “Only if you want to be graceful about it.”

Agreed, Christophers alien designs are amazing. They all have super distinct shapes, but are still readable and expressive.
Thanks, @mic and @Narfff ! Sometimes I get a little lazy and they aren’t that interesting. But I try! And I like this one, although figuring out the angle of this guy’s arms was an eye-roller.

The joke in “Hitchhiker’s Guide” was that this was the ship that was basically the ancestor of all Earth people.

I just want to say that the design of the ship in panel one is pretty much the whole reason I read comics. It could not be more perfect.
