There’s dignity and then there’s sweet sweet revenge.

Val, Audri, and Purrloin were now alone in the lounge. Val said, “I survived klopey-klope disease and now I only want to die.” Audri said, “They’re gone at least.” Val said, “I’ve always hated my body, but now I hate it on a whole new level.” Audri said, “Yeah. That was about the worst way to wake imaginable.” Looking longingly, Val said, “And yet I want it back. Maybe he loves me and just craves my body. If I had it back, then I’d be the perfect package.” Throwing her hands in the air, Audri said, “You’re already the perfect package, Val! If Lasper can’t love you like this, then his love isn’t worth a damn.” Looking humbled, Val said, “Well, thank you. And of course I’ll handle it with dignity and reason, because I still have my self respect. On the other hand, if I hooked up with Kniff or Yakky, that’d really piss him off, wouldn’t it?” Indicating a small amount with her fingers, Audri said, “Yust keep your paws off of our little pantsless butler. I kinda maybe crushed out on him a teensy-tiny bit.”

She has a body to live for.
I’m confuse by the wording in that first panel. “I survived klopey-klope disease” She’s been cured?
Assuming the newly arrived ship has a full medificer, the needed medicine would have been available instantly.
Huh. Yeah. I can see that. Just meaning that she survived that unmedicated bout of it. I’ll look at it again later and see if i can edit it to read better. Thank you, @Mic!
I had the same confusion as @Mic. Maybe “I didn’t die from Klopey-Klope disease, but now I want to” ?
I get the sense that it’s incurable, but controllable with medication, which she now has. Still some recovery to do.
This is why I never leave my apartment. Human relationships are needless complicated and the payoff is always minimal.
I should say personal relationships since there are not a lot of humans in this strip.
There are two full humans, two human-bodied, and two human-minded people on board. On a total of ten, that’s the majority.
Hold me closer tiny butler.

Ah, love. The source of and the cure for nearly all our maladies. Klopey-klope notwithstanding. This must be what people did for painful pleasure before alcohol.
