I decided I didn’t want to break this one in half into two strips. I mean, it wouldn’t have been a big deal, but it was all one thought, and not a very complex thought at that.

-Standing alone in lasper’s quarters, Picknar put their fists to their hips and said, “We still have no plan. Sigh. Switching our bodies back feels less and less likely.” Picknar looked at their hands and arms and said, “Is this going to be my body now? I’ve ignored it, but what can it do? What can i do in it?” Picknar then proceeded to do sit-ups, lifting a barbell, push-ups, and running on a treadmill. They put two fingers to their neck to hear the beating of their heart as the panted after the workout. Picknar then took a shower, but there was a knock on the door, so they started putting on a bathrobe while yelling, “Come in!” Lasper came striding in, saying, “Hey, Picknar. I wanted to talk to you about-” But Lasper didn’t notice that Picknar had left the barbell in front of the door and he tripped over it and into Picknars arms, landing on top of her, her bathrobe open. Grinning, Picknar said, “And here I was just wondering what I could do with my body.” Holding himself up by his arms above her, Lasper said, “For starters, did you know that one can use one’s body to trip over a barbell left just-inside a door?”

Nudge a barbell and it becomes an axle and two wheels. While trying to break his fall, maybe Lasper wound up standing atop the mobile barbell and log rolled into Picknar.
Suspend disbelief.

Here’s an idea. Tell the authorities. Since the guy is in prison, clearly they know what he was doing. they may be willing to help.
