-Thoos’s parents, Heakie and Porpa, entered the room. Heakie said, “Thoos.” Audri said, “Hello parent. And… other parent.” Porpa looked grim and said, “How’d you get free? We were really worried about how much information your torturer squeezed out of you.” Audri said, “I did my best to hold out.” Heakie said, “We know. And we would’ve worried more that you’d spilled some of our more… unsavory secrets,” Porpa finished the thought and said, “But fortunately we kept you in the dark your entire life.” Audri said, “Yeah. Heh. Um. Okay. Um. I love you…?” Suspicious, Heakie yelled, “You ‘love’ us?” Porpa added, “You only came back for money, didn’t you?” Audri said, “I understand thoos a lot better now.”

“Ah, blackmail! THERE’S the Thoos we know and acknowledge!”
Only now do I realize that the massive metallic structure Audri was arriving at was Thoos’ house, and not the prison. (I would’ve realized this Monday, but I missed that update until today.)
Also, I’m sure both structures have been shown previously and I should’ve known just by looking, but I’ve got the memory of a goldfish apparently, ok?
Me too! I went back and looked at when they first arrived at Thoos’s home, and there’s no matching exterior shot then. There’s this and the servant’s entrance, and not much else for broader views until now.
And…we find out that love is a four-letter synonym for money in those parts.
Frying pan not hot enough, eh?
Actually, I can hardly wait for Audri to spring her nefarious plot on Thoos’s parents. If she’s judged their wickedness and depravity correctly. Which, we see, she might not have. Oh, well. It’ll be fun to read anyway.
I suspect them being even more wicked and depraved than she expected will only further her plans
