10/21/26 – To Safety

|

As the group burst into a room at the end of the corridor of doors, Picknar said, "And through the final to safety." Audri yelled, "lock these doors! There's a maniac behind us trying to kill me!" Smiling and locking the door, a guard said, "Thoos Starslick! It's an honor. And sure! Let me lock it right now!" The Napforth appeared behind the glass on the other side of the door, and the guard said, "Oh, hold on, It's Napforth. I'll let them in, then we'll have one additional guard to protect you. Napforth, come help us protect our guest, Thoos." The guard then unlocked the door even as Lasper held up his hands and yelled, "Wait!" Napforth came through, aimed a gun at Audri, and said, "Bwah-ha!" Then Napforth pulled the trigger, but Gerek leapt in front of it, taking the zap blast, which as we know, doesn't harm Bollycks. The guard gave Napforth a concerned look and said, "I'm not sure you understood the instructions correctly, Napforth."

No, the lasers are built with child-safety in mind and will not disintegrate clothing if they cannot also disintegrate the wearer, so as to prevent accidental nudity.

Which, as we all know, is worse than murder.

And, since the laser didn’t bother the target, they all know exactly what the target is underneath the disguise. At which point he may as well tear all the guards up into pate.

We had to see Gerek demonstrate his laser invulnerability in the most dramatic way possible. But will he do it again to save the hapless guard?

Friday’s gonna be telling. I need another apple cider, quick!
