Let me just tell you: I LOVE Don’s art. Sigh. πŸ™‚

Oh, and hey, I went oil painting for the first time in AGES. Check out the new NSFW painting on the painting page (link also in those image links on the top right there)

  1. Got the wind knocked out of it.

  2. Saved the city by dropping the giant monster construct on it.

  3. Eh, I figure the city was a write-off from the moment the big-ass face-bug-windy-thing showed up. The way Gorro talked about it, it was more a matter of saving the continent.

  4. Oh, The faces of the Yontengu… love them.

And Chris, your oil paintings are beautiful, they kind of remember me the classics. Good work!

  5. It took me way too long to figure out that this was a shrunken version of the page, and then the two halves of it at a larger size. D’oh! (I wonder if there’s a way we can get around that design-wise… Are there more of these spread pages coming up?)

  6. I had the same issue.
Maybe add those zoomed in/detail views as comments, or as a separate image?

  7. @Stewart, Ha! Probbaly playing with fire. They are to be VERY uncommon. And it was mostly my fault for not writing underneath the top panel “below are the close-up details of the 2-page spread.”

  8. Just what kind of danger did this monster pose anyways? Seemed like it was just a nuisance. It caused more destruction in it’s death than when it was alive.

  9. Shoot, hook up wind turbines to that thing and the city could have had endless electricity. Poor creature was just misunderstood πŸ˜‰
