Growing up we had vents like this, of which I all too often sat above and listened/observed the goings-on below.

Rather callous of them to have that as a back up plan. And now the child knows their next move. And will be reporting. Then it gets ugly. I hope they have axes to help hide the bodies…

Sounds like a bad irish joke (aren’t them all?).

“The doctor is ready for you now.”
    “Oh? Which doctor is that?”
“No , not a witchdoctor, doctor Lobe O’Tommy of Cork.”

Right. Get out the door, you say mister doorman? I can walk on my own murghbllrhg “is tossed into the street”

  3. Hmm. Basing on how you’re setting this up, I’m guessing Emily’s totally going to shoot and eat an adorable puplien by the end of this episode. Were those fava beans she’d packed?

Or maybe she’ll shoot one and her new coyote bestie’ll chow down. More audience friendly.
    (Marginally.)

I am strangely comforted that the humans who have had their sympathy twisted right out of them are still self-possessed enough to retain their rightful suspicion of aliens who come in the door and shoot people before asking their help to — what was the word? — Oh, yes, ‘build them a homeworld.’

It would seem that all now understand the Puppies are talking out of one side of their mouth whilst plotting out the other half. For purposes still not clear in any fashion.

How long the double subterfuge goes along depends on what the Puppies expect from their ‘hosts.’ My money’s on simple kidnapping and slavery. They don’t care if they crush houses; why should they care who exactly they want to terraform (or Puppiform) their new homeworld?

Presuming that’s the reason they came at all. I doubt it most sincerely, but the purpose of all these paired but otherwise unrelated people they’re collecting (all without children for some other reason) still escapes my scrutiny. Hmm.
