Wow. I read about this in the “webcomica” section of the TV trope “nobody kills you but me” and have, a few days later, finally caught up. I clicked on it on a lark and I never expected such a gripping, charming, whimsical and satisfyingly robust space opera. It’s finds like these that remind me how many more great webcomics there are out there to discover.

Emily has a higher performance tolerance for teasing than I am comfortable with. Or Pierrot, for that matter, but she’s learned to walk that line with such absolute precision that she can deflect Choan’s graceless reveal of her intentions with a blank look and a smile. In other places and situations, a punch in the teeth would have followed, possibly then moving to ashtrays and easily-thrown furniture. But not with Emily. Masterfully done. Even if I don’t care to see it when I know I won’t have time to cringe, let alone get to cover.
