07/11/25 – Gerek’s Motivation

|

Lasper continued, "But I know that Gerek left us as an act of love and kindness towards you two." Audri said, "Whatever his motivation was, it was my fault he left. He didn't even want to fight, but I talked him into it. If I hadn't, then he'd still be here, safe, with us now!" Val pointed out, "Or it would have just forced the thugs to go up a set of stairs to play out the same scenario." Audri put her piña colada up by the food synth and said, "Whatever! This is all just stupid! Food synth, you can have my piña colada back. T'm going to hide myself in the toilet and cry." And then she went in the bathroom and slammed the door behind her. The food synth then asked Lasper and Val, "Should I have put more umbrellas in it?"

The correct answer is: it’s NEVER enough umbrellas.

Or, perhaps, to get out? If you need an improvised brig, prisoners are generally lower maintenance if they have access to a toilet.

Though the bathroom may also function as a saferoom, and numerous mutinies have been resolved within a day by a simple lockout.

Never enough umbrellas? Unfortunately at around 5.3 x 10^23 umbrellas (depending on the exact size and packing factor) they are known to collapse under their own gravity and ignite into a proto-star. Which is what happened to the Xelph.
