Finished the colors! Tah-dahhhhhh!

********************* EDIT  *********************

We move this week. Plus both have work we need to finish for for a show at the National Academy of Science in DC later this spring. Plus saying goodbyes to our community here. And we had a studio sale on Sunday.

Anyhow. Overwhelmed. Trying to have at least the Spacetrawler “INKS” done (to be colored at some later date). So far so good.

Christopher, if you need to take a few days off to do all the other necessary stuff, please do. Soldiering bravely on in drawing (and later, colouring) Spacetrawler because you *have* to won’t help us any if you keel over from exhaustion. I mean, if you die on us without finishing Spacetrawler, what would we do then? 😉

Wonderful moment of high drama. Emily et alia versus the incompetent muggers with fists and feet. And just ahead of their destination. A little intestinal fortitude at the right moment and they could all reach… the destination of the house-crushing villains and their probable patron/bankroll/boss.

This sort of stuff doesn’t happen in L. Frank Baum, I can tell you that. HEAVE that punk, Emily! Right into his fellow substandard criminal pals!

That said… I’m not sure I could move AND finish a daily strip. Matter of fact, I’m pretty sure of it. Would that I could send you health care premiums instead of accolades, Christopher. I’m with Jude on this. Do take care of yourself. Take it from somebody who didn’t.

I feel for Emily, hurting others is an easy thing to learn. Easier to get good at. Hard to put away when it is no longer needed. And sadly hardest of all is learning to not miss it.

I can well understand Emily’s sentiment. I both studied self defense and also didn’t like the idea of having to hurt someone. I was afraid I might like it. For some it is a thing they like to do and feel no compunction about its use. Others will never raise a hand even to protect themselves, and maybe throw their bodies in front of others.

That is such a tight crowd they hardly have any room for fists, but elbows and knees can damage without killing. Finger flicks to eyes can blind temporarily. There are ways of disabling without killing. But that is a mass mob with energy guns! Maybe Emily can find a way to slip through them too.
