Val said sadly, “So, it wasn’t a dream.” Audri confessed, “No.” Audri said, “Sigh. Well, I guess it is what it is. Have you met Thoos?” Audri said, “Yeah. I Was just telling Gerek. I was not impressed.” Then Yakky’s voice came over the loudspeaker, “Audri, Thoos just sent over special programming for our medi-bot so it can straighten your hair back to ‘normal.'” Audri yelled back, “Well, Yakky, you can tell that jerk that nobody touches a black woman’s hair without her permission!” Yakky said, “Thoos says, pfeh, they can buy and sell you more ways than you can count!” Audri clenched her fists and said, “Then tell them that they’re a pauper! I’ve got their body, which means I’ve got their money!” Yakky said, “Now they’re mumbling something incoherently about dark planets.” A little deflated, Audri said to Val, “I’m not sure team building efforts are off to a great start.” Gerek commented, “Yeah, strength in diversity isn’t quite the same as strength in adversity.”
