First, covering the casual approach.

Discussing more, Val said, “It sounds like this Underrock Prison is well guarded.” Slumped down, Picknar said, “I don’t think they’ve ever had a breakout” Val said, “Maybe Loomp can walk us through the body-swap process verbally.” Excited, Audri said, “Yeah! Since Val and I are in Tithoron bodies, we could get jobs there and sneak a communicator into Loomp!” Thoos said firmly, “You can’t even apply for a job at Underrock Prison without a minimum of ten years of outstanding service to the planetary security force.” Annoyed, Audri exclaimed, “Why do some professions always demand previous experience?! How can anyone get previous experience if you never hire inexperienced people?!” Val said, “That unnecessarily ridiculous idea aside, how about we just call, write, or visit?” Picknar said, “No. It’s a prison for the most dangerous criminal offenders. some who they’ll never release.” Thoos added, “Including many whose ideas are so excessively deranged that the prison doesn’t want them talking to anyone.” Val said, “I’ve had boyfriends who felt the same about me.”

I think the person they’re describing, for both the staff and the prisoners, is Choan.
I’m mot sure letting Choan anywhere near mind swapping tech is a good idea.
First, Val, those boyfriends sound like abusers, so, RED FLAG! And, second, could the GOB intervene here? Cause this sounds like a lot of Due Process Violations here. Did Loomp even get a trial?
Aww, Val…*head pats*
Love the cat just chilling.
A hopeless situation with no way out (or in, as it happens) and no idea how to proceed. Sounds like it’s time for a Deus Ex Machina. Or… well, no, I won’t say. But my head bubbles with possibilities and they get tangled in my ear hair and that tickles! Let’s see what crawls out of the woodwork unexpectedly. Or… arrives from the past unannounced and needing money. Yeah. Yeah, that’s the ticket.
