Sometimes even parents do teensy small bad things.

Val, Audri, Picknar, and Thoos continued to discuss Underrock Prison. Pickar said, “Once inside, of those who go past the first gate, only guards ever come out.” Thoos said dismissively, “Actually my family and I took a tour there once, when I was a child.” Making air quote with their fingers, and annoyed Picknar said to Thoos, “Thoos. No. There are no “tours” of Underrock Prison.” Unimpressed by the rebuttal, Thoos said, “Well, maybe that’s true for you common folk. But I have distinct memories of it. My parents even got to go into a cell and meet a prisoner while I waited outside. Which was good, I didn’t want to go in, plus, the prisoner had a seizure and was screaming. Fortunately my parents had some medical training, and so when they exited the cell covered in blood, they told me that they’d saved the prisoner’s life… and… um…” Thoos went wide-eyed, realizing what they’d just said. Covering their face with their hand, Thoos said, “My parents are actually mobsters who torture people, aren’t they?” Picknar exclaimed, “Ya think?!”

It was Bring Your Child to Work Day.
“Family Tour”, sure. (That pun is torture.)
Hey, if sufficiently connected Tiths can get in, and Thoos is connected to her family, and Audri is currently “Thoos” … this becomes a game like Dem Bones to get the whole crew into Underrock. But can they get out? WITH Professor Loomp?
Well, technically they only need his info on how to reverse the body swap, not him himself.
Maybe he has figured out a fix to the thing. It is pretty much Casters Up from what I have seen.
I see a way to get to Loomp, but it requires convincing Thoos’ parents.
Ah, the fine art of recontextualizing things from our youth once we’re adults and have a higher level of education and understanding of the event in question.
Picknar confirms that air quotes are the universal language.
No, that’s Val’s body talking.
Note that the swap did not work out as planned the first time. It was supposed to swap the two tiths with each other, not with two random earth girls.
Brain… combustulating! Possibilities… multiplying!
Excuse me, I think I’d better spend the rest of today and Thursday incoherently drunk. To save us all, naturally.
Thank you for your heroic sacrifice. 😀
Neshmu koppobindalac, shoje?
…Well, Thoos is starting to have major realizations. This is a step on the road to becoming less of a snob.
