-Back in the lounge on lasper’s ship, planning resumed, this time without Yakky or Kniff in the room. Arms out, Thoos yelled, “I’m so sick of this! All this planning is idiotic!” Tired by this comment, Picknar said, “It’s not idiotic if we don’t want to all end up in jail.” Thoos said, “But we haven’t gotten anywhere with it!” Annoyed, Lasper said, “Yeah, hard things take time and work. Imagine that.” Brushing off the comment, Thoos said, “I’ve never had to take time to do things, nor to work.” Knox said, sarcastically, “We’re all utterly surprised.” Thoos exclaimed, “So, since we can’t get jobs there, let’s just disguise ourselves as guards and hope for the best!” Picknar yelled back, “We’ve gone over this. They would notice a non-employee on the job. And although maybe we could get in as the escorts who bring people to the prison, escorts aren’t allowed past the first security door.” Thoos said, “Ao what?! If we get caught, we’ll just have my parents get us out.” Rodrigo pointed out, “You forget, they don’t think you’re you and they want to torture you.” Recalling, Thoos said, “Oh right.” Arms crossed, Gerek said, “By Kaylid’s pits, save me from this stupid discussion.” Thoos said, “As a Bollyck, I wouldn’t hold my breath to be saved by anyone. Certainly not me.” Yakky stuck her head up from downstairs and added, “And If I were coming, certainly not me either!”

I’m still waiting for them to realize that the same stubbornness that prevents them from accepting that Thoos is telling the truth would likely get them to believe Audri is Thoos. I thought it was the next logical beat from the moment it was established that Thoos’s parents have been able to get in and out at will, but they somehow never made that leap?

The word “utter” is a homonym of the Swedish word for otter, so I picture an adorable water mammal gasping in shock.
