10/17/14 Star Accuses

Spent some of the day working on a grant proposal, and some on a residency proposal. Worked on a freelance job, and got some coloring done. Still feel out of it. I need toothpicks to prop open my eyelids.

The site is coming together though.Β Stewart C. Baker (fiction and poetry writer, check him out atΒ Infomancy) has been working hard with the brilliant support of Corey here and there too. Yay!

The current plan is to have the main page show ALL the comics, and then have unique directories for each project. If you have any thoughts of functionality or design you think would be good, don’t hesitate to shout out.

Okay. ALMOST caught up after my short wander on the west coast.

For those who only visit the site on M-W-F, make sure to also come Tuesday and Thursday! I’m now posting “Yontengu” which was drawn by Don AhΓ© and written by myself.

Today I played racquetball for the first time in weeks. Amazing how some skills slip so quickly. Plus, when I last did it I was finishing up my novel, and now I need some new story problems to ponder as I hit.

10/03/14 Late Comers

I am nearing the end of my trip and I’m winding down. Feeling tired and brain-soggy and missing my routine diet, my routine exercise, my sweetie, my cats, and my bed.

Which leaves me with no idea what to blog about. πŸ™‚

Today, in Olympia WA I stopped in ONE of the best comic stores I’ve ever been in, Danger Room Comics, where I got to have a lovely conversation with Frank who ranks me as one of his most difficult to please customers EVER. Man-o-man do I remember him always trying to find something both to my taste and that I’d never read. But “The Rabbi’s Cat” and “Isaac The Pirate” I have to credit him with. Rock on, Danger Room.

09/26/14 Laying Down The Law

I have this weird thing, where actions tend to have consequences in my stories. Cap’n Angie stepping in WAS the appropriate thing to happen.

Oh, and I keep meaning to mention the review of Spacetrawler over at Skjam. And thanks for the mention by Gini Koch (author of the funny Touched By An Alien series) regarding my being mentioned on io9. πŸ™‚

Fortunately I only MOSTLY packed shorts for my trip since it was supposed to mainly be in the 80s. Looks like the weather decided to change, and now it’s the 60s. Wet and chilly! Of course, what better way to remind me of living in the PacNW. πŸ™‚
